JASON MAYHEW
Jason Mayhew is a highly respected UK gundog trainer based at the renowned Cowdray Estate in West Sussex. With a background in gamekeeping, Jason has gone on to achieve success at the highest level of retriever competition, training multiple Field Trial Champions and judging at championship level. He now shares his expertise with handlers of all abilities through his training programmes and clinics.
FRASER FORBES
Fraser Forbes is a successful Scottish gundog handler from Carnochway Gundogs in the Highlands. With a lifetime spent around working dogs, Fraser has achieved top-level success with retrievers, including producing a Field Trial Champion and competing at some of the highest levels of the sport.
NICK RIDLEY
Nick Ridley is a leading figure in the UK gundog world, combining more than 30 years’ experience as a photographer, writer, trainer and author. As the freelance Gundog Editor for Sporting Gun and author of several books, including Spaniels and Practical Gundog Training, Nick has become widely recognised for his knowledge of working dogs. Alongside his writing and photography, he trains and works his own Cocker Spaniels in the shooting field.
JUDY HEMPSTEAD
Judy Hempstead is an experienced gundog trainer and advocate for minority working breeds. A Kennel Club Accredited Instructor, judge and founder of the Working Minority Retriever Club, Judy has dedicated much of her career to training, competing and promoting lesser-known gundog breeds, particularly Irish Water Spaniels and minority retrievers.
TIM GREEN
Tim Green is a grouse gamekeeper at Abbeystead Estate and a passionate advocate of versatile working gundogs. His journey with German Shorthaired Pointers began in 2016, and he now works a team of GSPs bred for their ability in the field, from grouse counting to shooting days. Through Marshaw Green Gundogs, Tim continues to develop dogs that reflect the true versatility and character of the HPR breed.

Kenny Drew is a countryside and gundog photographer based in Lincolnshire, specialising in capturing working dogs and rural life. With a passion for gundogs and the outdoors, Kenny’s photography has featured across a range of countryside and field sports publications, capturing the character, movement and connection between handlers and their dogs.
FRASER MACDOUGALL
Fraser MacDougall is an accomplished Scottish gundog trainer and founder of Arisaig Gundogs. With almost two decades of experience working with gundogs, Fraser has built a strong reputation for training and working Springer Spaniels and Labradors, sharing his knowledge and passion for working dogs with the wider gundog community.

Caitlin Grimwood is a gundog trainer and founder of Dairiver Gundogs, based in the UK. Specialising in English Springer Spaniels, Caitlin focuses on training and developing working dogs with a passion for the breed and its abilities in the field.

Katey Aldred is a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Clinical Animal Behaviourist and gundog trainer with over 20 years’ experience working with dogs. Founder of Pooch Paws, Katey specialises in canine behaviour and gundog training, combining veterinary knowledge with modern, science-based training methods.

Emma Longman is a Bracco Italiano breeder and advocate with a lifelong passion for this distinctive HPR breed. Through living and working with Bracchi, Emma has gained a deep appreciation of their versatility, intelligence and unique character, promoting the breed’s ability as both a capable working gundog and a devoted family companion.
